Music videos are still a great way to get that creative out as long as you have a little money, a lot of passion and a free weekend. Through a “friend of a friend” we were introduced to Culture Killers and their on-stage performance at Dragonfly was amazing. It was clear that this band didn’t need some high concept and fortunately the budget didn’t allow for one anyway. This was simply a fun project where we wanted to see what we could do with very little. We shot this in the boiler room at the purportedly haunted and abandoned Linda Vista Hospital in East LA on 35mm and hand crank and posted everything here on the Avid Symphony. We produced this in 2006 and think it still holds up. We wish music videos would stage a comeback.
